October 13th - Listening Lunch at the Valley Springs, SD Scalehouse!
This might just look like cut lines in the pavement, but these lines are actually scales built into the roadway on I-90 near Valley Springs, SD.
This is part of a state-of-the-art scale facility recently updated by the South Dakota DOT. These sensors, in combination with high-tech cameras, provide DOT officers with a ton of information about your truck’s weight, tire inflation, and even your own seat belt use!
On October 13th we are taking a “field trip” out to the scales for our October Driver Listening lunch. This will give you a hands-on opportunity to see the scales in action from the DOT side. Officers will present the features of the scale and take questions and we will feed you! Don’t make a special trip to be home just for this, but if you are in the area, please plan to join us and RSVP using the quick form below or by contacting Jennifer!
