How to Transfer your logs
If you’re pulled in for a roadside inspection you will most likely be asked to transfer your logs to the DOT officer. Follow these steps to transfer your logs. If you encounter any issues, contact Safety.
Go to your ELD Home Screen.
Click on the blue Options button at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll until you see Roadside Inspection and click on it.
It will take you to your logbook, but it is a locked down version. In order to get back to the main menu or messages you would have to re-enter your password. At this point you can hand the device to the DOT officer if they want to look at your logs that way. If they want to view your logs on their own device by having you electronically transfer them, follow the additional steps.
Click on the blue Data File Transfer button. Ask the officer for their web code. In the box that comes up, click on the Web Code button and in the white box click and type in their code. Then click on Done.
You will see a pop-up come up that states it is being queued. Click OK.
Click the Home button when you are done and enter in your password to leave the Roadside Inspection screen.
